potty time

well our afternoon took a sudden turn when Amelia decided she was ready to go on the potty- yeah- my child that has been holding out decided she has enough of diapers!! The boys were so easy to potty train and mastered it by 18 and 20 months.  Amelia is 2 1/2 and up until today would cry huge crocodile tears at the thought of sitting on the potty- why? we are not sure- we are finding that raising a girl is so different then the boys and there are a lot of tears that we have no idea what they are caused from- hurt feelings is a new one around here!  Well we were not successful in making it to the potty but the boys cheer and have her running for the potty hopefully tommorow we will make it there!!  I was thinking back to potty training Walt and it obsessed my whole day- now i realize  why he is so intense- i think i hovered a little too much- we are just happy there are no more tears!  If she is actually potty trained before the twins arrival i am not sure how we will celebrate- haha!
