Easter
Easter this year was an amazing blessing to our whole family. Usually on Easter we are traveling and spend the day either on the road or at another church celebrating the holiday. This year we were at home and it was a blessing to wake up with our family and go to worship a risen savior together. The service was amazing and it was overhwelming to see so many people excited about a risen savior- one that still has the power to save and "has conquered the grave". We went to the early service which was at 8 o'clock and it turned out to still be packed with people- however the children's service was not very crowded- guess we are some of the few people that thought the 8 o'clock service sounded good- well the kids has a blast because the classes were not so big- my kids and large groups of people do not always agree. After church we came home and made a big breakfast. Later in the day we had the Mase family over to celebrate- we had a large mix of foods and decided to try some different dishes other than the traditional ham- although we found out later that that is one of thier favorite american dishes- oops! Well it has been such a blessing to get to know this amazing family over the last two years. God has been faithful to help us cross the language barrier and we have had an amazing time- we found out last week that they will be returning to Japan soon- we are so saddened by this news as we have come to enjoy thier friendship and laughter so much. We are hoping that we will be able to take a trip to the beach with all the kids before they must leave. I have posted some of the pics from the day- the kids were most excited about the egg hunt and once again Iho had outdone herself with wonderful little prizes in the egg- i think she might be afraid to see my kids with too much sugar:)
