Skipping School

My hilarious children are at it again. This week has been crazy as it is one were Darcy works nights and so the kids tend to be a little wired in the evenings because they know that mama is moving a little slower than usual.  Well this week Samuel has missed preschool- usually goes 3 days and loved missing all three- at one point he grabs my face and says "mom tell me you will homeschool me- i find this quite hilarious because lately i am not the most organized or energetic person.  Today had been another rainy day- Walt came home from school after spending the last hour in the clinic with the nurse trying to decide if he had allergies or pink eye- allergies- but he somehow realized that if it was pink eye he would have to stay home tomorow- ok this is getting hilarious- why is everyone begging to be home with me the grouchy mom.  Well this evening all three decided to sit at the kitchen table and work on "school work".  We had phonics, art, math and reading going on.  It could not have gone better- they were all helping each other and no fighting- days like these are when i think it may be totally insane to homeschool next year- how ever it may be the most rewarding thing I ever do- thank goodness there is prayer and that God is faithful to reveal his plan.  Until then I will be one of the most blessed mothers that my children are brave and strong and able to function in the world but love home.  What a wonderful thing in this day and time when it seems like everyone is so busy that family just falls by the wayside.  Oh yeah- took the kids to the library today- got the books "Owen" and "Llama llama mad at mama".  Amelia thought that the books were hilarious, although when they cut up Owen's blanket she freaked out a little and yelled "no banks, no banks"  Banks is what she calls her blanket and she honestly views it as a person and not a blanket- to be a kid-
