Thank God for daddy's and time off of work!
How is it that we can be the ones that carry the child 9 months, give birth, tend to every cry and need and yet it is daddy who can stand back and see the bigger picture at times and take care of the things that really matter? Darcy has done an amazing job this week of not only helping out around the house as I am a neat freak and want the house clean, beds made by 9 etc. haha Darcy has been a good sport and met those needs of mine as well as taking time with the kids to make them feel special and important! It is funny to see 3 little people that have our DNA be so different- it makes parenting such a fun and crazy challenge. I have seen a new side of Darcy this week- walt and him have worked in the garage to build a variety of wood projects, as well as take a trip to see the bee hives, Samuel and daddy have fought a war (on the computer) fixed a variety of things around the house and spent some time at a friends farm, Darcy has also gotten to try out some wild orchid lotion (haha) answer phone calls from little mermaid and fix Amelia's hair. He has done all these things as though there is no other place he would rather be- oh I have so much to learn about stopping and breaking for the things that matter! On Wednesday we decided to take the kids to an awesome place out in the Kentucky country side to pick blackberries. Me and the kids are used to spending large amounts of time at m parents farm in the summer and I think we were all needing to get out and feel free. Well i should have had an extra cup of coffee as i did not pay close attention to the amount of blackberries we were picking. The boys kept telling me that they were "being machines and not missing a single berry" well 16 1/2 pounds later we left the blackberry patch- haha! We are still waiting for the little ones and enjoying a wonderful summer with friends. we were blessed tonight by a wonderful time of christian fellowship- it is amazing how God is a God of provision and met my souls needs tonight on so many levels.

Sounds like some great off-time. You'll be so glad later, that you wrote down all these little, daily things. They seem little at the time, but they are the stuff of life, you know?. . .AND you'll be amazed that you did so much, while pregnant with twins! :)
Those are good times. Darcy is a great Dad and it's so nice they bring that other perspective to the marriage. What are you going to do with all those blackberries!?
