Breathe Deep the Country Air
We have decided to make Friday night family nights after reading a friends post about the fun her family has on friday nights that they have set aside. This friday night we decided to go out to the farm were Darcy keeps his bees. of course growing up in the country ment this was a treat for me to get out of subdivision life and breathe deep. The family that owns the farm is am amazing christian family that is so willing to share their time and their little slice of heaven with us. They were in the middle of harvesting tobacco and we got the pleasure of watching them hang tobacco in the huge barns. I must say it was humbling to see how hard the family worked and also amazing to see how well everyone was giving of their time including the youngest grandson (9) that hung from the rafters and helped hang the harvest. The boys were in heaven as the grandson has a dirt bike and then got to take off with him and ride through the fields. We also decided that Walt was big enough to try and drive the dirt bike- quite exciting for him. Amelia also thought she was quite brave to walk up in the barns- that was quickly put to an end as a huge hog stuck his nose through the stall and snorted at her- it was funny to watch her little face change as the hog was bigger than her. The best part of the evening was the fact that we were able to park the van open the doors and the twins enjoyed just having the fresh air blow across their faces. What a blessing to have such sweet time with our family.
