Snow, Snow and More Snow

There is only so much snow that one mother of five can take- actually I love the cold weather and snow and all that goes with it except the clothing problem- it seems that my children need assistance at all the wrong moments with their gloves, snow suits etc. The boys have had so much fun out in the snow with their friends- they have sled for about 6 hours straight and then tried their luck at building an igloo. Amelia has had a few more unfortunate accidents- the first day she tried to jump on the sled- but it turned into jumping in front of the sled and getting run over and a fat lip- the next day she let the boys convince her to make a snow angel face down- today she followed my instructions to not do anything the boys told her- and today was a success. Also there was an older girl in the neighborhood that was over to play so that always helps to have a little guidance! The kids went sledding with a neighbor last night- he was so thoughtful to build a mound of snow to stop the kids before they came to the trees and brush- haha actually it turned into a snow jump that propelled them into the woods- but it is the thought that counts right?? He came over last night to apologize agian as Samuel was one of the first ones not to stop by this lovely mound! Of course the boys decided this was a good idea and wanted to build the same at our house- so today they were doing that in our yard- not a good thing as our hill goes down into the house- so the mound they built would propel them into the glass door- not a good thing!! Anyway after a nice workout on the treamill being stuck inside for 3 days does not seem all that bad- i must remember this when I get blue to go in the basement and workout- if only it was not so scary down there!!!
