Little Blessings in the Midst of Craziness

Today was one of those days that as a mother you dream about- let me start by saying last night was the kind that scare you away from having children- as it is impossible to realize that you can function on 2 hours of sleep.  The day started well as coffee is able to make a very tired body all of the sudden able to handle homework, making breakfast and potty training.  No wonder they are starting to charge so much for it:) The morning went well and then we were off to the doctor to see how much our little blessing have grown.  Benjamin is now 8 lbs 3 oz. and Eleanor is 7 lbs. 14 oz.  As if he was a saint the doctor said in the next week the twins should be able to go 6-8 ours at night- yeah!! we have made it!  After that my poor babies got their shots-  after that we all had a very long nap- another blessing afternoon kindergarten!  Well when Walt got home from school we had a meeting with the children's leader at church about baptism- it was such a wonderful experience to hear Walt talk about his faith and his knowledge of God with another adult and explain himself so well.  I have prayed for my children since pregnancy that they would surrender to God and acknowledge their creator in all they do - today was a wonderful answer to that prayer- I am also excited about the influence this will have on my family- it is always good to be reminded of God's faithfulness- sometimes it is easy to become overwhelmed by the hard things you experience in life and to question God's plan- however when family members enter into the christian family it is always a time of renewal.  Amelia tonight decided to sum up our study of Genesis- she stated "God made the birds, and earth and then took a nap" Lovely!
