Tales from School

Hilarious is the only thing that I can say about the tales that we hear from school- it makes me wonder what the teacher and others hear about our family.  The children are hilarious and I try to remind myself to stop and listen to the little stories as they are usually so important to the kids.  Most of Samuel's stories are about the playground and trips to the principal and being the second child- if he feels that his stories are not quite interesting enough he will add some facts- which is always followed by a little smirk were his dimples show- too cute even though he is lying! Today the story was about him playing on the playground and being Indiana Jones and falling off the monkey bars and barely catching himself- which made him hurt his hand and had to go to the clinc- then he tells me it was not really the clinic  it was Mrs. B- but she did have band- aids so it was like the clinic.  Walt is obsessed with bringing home the class pet for the weekend- he is wanting me to drop him at school tomorrow at 7:50 about an hour early so he can be first to turn in the permission slip- patience is not a strong point around out house:)  He told me how the first class hamster went home with one child- got out of the cage and then got caught in a mouse trap- i was driving and trying so hard not to burst out laughing- but in the life of a 2nd grader this was tragic!  Luckily we do not have any mouse traps- just a lot of noise!
